Department Overview
The Recording Department is responsible for the filing and recording of Conveyance, Mortgage, Miscellaneous, and UCC documents in Red River Parish. As Recorder of Deeds and Mortgages, the Clerk of Court maintains the official public record of all property transactions and encumbrances within the parish.
Our office also provides online record searching through the ClerkNet portal and supports electronic document submission through approved e-recording vendors.
Recording Fee Schedule
Effective August 1, 2018. Standard fee includes up to 10 indexed names and one certified copy of each recorded instrument.

Document Specifications (RS 13:844)
All documents submitted for recording must meet these requirements:
- Paper size: Letter (8½" × 11") or Legal (8½" × 14")
- Caption indicating the document type on the first page
- 2-inch top margin on the first page
- 1-inch margins on sides and bottom
- Font size no smaller than 8 point
